Audiences around the world enjoy the music of Sammy Nestico. His music is patriotic and is greatly influenced by jazz and folk music. Mr. Nestico has graciously donated the music we will perform on this concert, and his good friend, band member Charlie Almeida will be featured on a beautiful alto saxophone solo called Persuasion. We are honored to pay tribute to this fine American composer. Dr. David Waybright, Director of Bands at the University of Florida will serve as guest conductor.

Let the Melbourne Municipal Band take you on a Magic Carpet Ride you won’t soon forget. We are pleased to have Nicole Scott, piccolo and flute player from the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, as our guest flute soloist for the evening. She will be featured on our newest exciting piece, Arabesque by Samuel R. Hazo. We will travel from Arabia to Persia, but no exotic location is off limits during this wild ride.
