SWINGTIME JAZZ BAND

This 18-21 piece “Big Band” consists of 5 saxes, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, guitar, bass, piano and trap set, with two singers (one male, one female) and Front man. They play music from the 1920s to the 1970s, and are available for weddings, receptions and parties. They will certainly get you “In the Mood” to put on your dancing shoes.

This band puts on a dance about once a month at the Melbourne Auditorium. These dances are $6 per person at the door, or $5 per person in advance. See our Schedule of Events for more information.

SUNSHINE BRASS QUINTET

Members: David Ewing, Trumpet; David Cleveland, Trumpet; John Wilkerson, French Horn; Alan Moss, Trombone; Larry Thomas, Tuba.

This professional quintet plays a wide variety of music appropriate for any kind of engagement, including weddings, funerals, Church services, receptions and parties. Their musical selections include Patriotic, Gospel, Jazz, Dixieland, Pop, Classical and Baroque music.

In addition to their professional work, the Sunshine Brass Quintet provides a community service by playing at local retirement homes and by making occasional guest appearances at Melbourne Municipal Band Concerts.
