PRINCIPAL CONDUCTOR, STACI CLEVELAND

Staci Cleveland was named as the Principal Conductor for the Melbourne Municipal Band in June of 2010. Cleveland graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelor in Music Education in 1992, and with her Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting in 1994. She studied conducting with Dr. David A. Waybright while serving as a Graduate Assistant in the UF School of Music. After serving as the Director of Admissions and Undergraduate Advising for the School of Music at UF, she taught band in the Florida Public Schools. She currently lives in Melbourne, where she teaches privately and plays flute with the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, the Central Florida Chamber Winds and the Space Coast Flute Orchestra (where she is also an Assistant Director).
